Abstract
In this paper we present evidence that lends further support to the conclusion that the treatise known as De Spiritu, which is traditionally included in the Corpus Aristotelicum, was not composed by Aristotle. We present evidence of two kinds: (i) terminological differences (terms which are not used at all in Aristotle’s authentic works, or used only in a different sense); and (ii) substantial doctrinal differences on anatomical and physiological issues as well as on the soul and pneuma. Most of these points have heretofore received little or no attention.
